i need to create things, feel new in my hands from my hands something different from what was string into a sweater seeds into a flower paper into faces looking back at me. i need to breathe into things life spirit movement light that reflects back onto the mirror of me "love is something if you give it away you end up having more" child song in my head.

creating stuff is very cool. knitting and cooking are probably my two favorite hobbies, and both are productive (in that they produce a new physical object; more accurately they reconfigure an original, unusable object into something finished and ready for consumption)
not too long ago, i came across this interview with tori amos where among other things, she posits creation as the only way to combat destruction. the show seems to be the british equivelent of the view

I remember that song - even back then I instinctively knew that TANSTAAFL & wondered how you could get more love from giving it away. Haha brings back memories though :)
